What is an RTR in C2C, and how to handle it
An RTR (Right to Represent) is a short confirmation that a vendor may submit you to a specific client for a specific role, usually at a stated rate. It protects the vendor's work and stops two vendors from submitting you to the same job.
What to check before you confirm
- Role and client: the exact position and, if they say it, the end client.
- Rate: the C2C hourly rate you're agreeing to. Use the rate calculator to compare it with W2.
- Duration and location: contract length, remote/hybrid/on-site.
- Exclusivity window: how long you agree not to be submitted to that client through someone else.
Avoid duplicate submissions
Never give two RTRs for the same client and role. Clients often reject candidates submitted twice. Keep a list of every RTR: date, vendor, client, role and rate.
How HireHustle helps
HireHustle reads RTR and rate-confirmation mails automatically, records the client, rate and vendor, and warns you if a new request looks like a duplicate of one you already gave.
